  • Read pages 70-80; then 89-99.  (Each page has only a paragraph or two.)
  • Please finish the projects we started in class & put PDF in your Type Hierarchy folder:

For Tues. Feb. 28

Great work everyone!

  1. Finish any revisions to your Typography Timeline. Export it as a PDF . In your folder in Dropbox, create a folder named Typography Timeline and submit the PDF into it.
  2. Finish the Typography Research Paper:
  • Complete the Chinese Calligraphy template (link on right panel: Timeline Research Layout- files to download) that we started in class using the images, text & instructions.
  • In the same document, add extra pages and make a second version using 2-3 of your research images with accompanying text.  You can cut & paste text from your research. The text should relate to your section of Timeline history.

Homework-Class 2

Make sure to have: 10-15 images along with their captions for your Timeline
You must be conscious of HIGH RESOLUTION FILES and organize them into a folder of images along with the captions.

START YOUR LAYOUT- Please start your layout and bring to class.

  1. Select key images & their caption information
  2. Layout in InDesign, Tabloid (11×17″), horizontal
  3. Place the Timeline Grid on bottom layer – See link for Class 2 > Timeline Grid
  4. Make a layer and create a line for your timeline using the Timeline Grid as guide.
  5. Use different layers for: time line, images, text, background color
